Since September 2018 we have been offering Italian Language and culture courses organised with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in London.
Our extracurricular Italian courses are aimed at all the children attending Primary and Secondary School years in London and the South of England and run in more than 40 venues.
Registration for the school year 2022-2023 is now open.
Find the right course for your child
Designed for children attending primary schools (from Y1 to Y6), our courses are aimed at inspiring a love for the Italian language and culture.
Through fun and creative activities led by qualified teachers, children will have the chance to improve their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Designed for Y7, Y8 and Y9 children.
Tailored to the needs and interests of pre-teens, these courses provide basic knowledge of the Italian language for beginners and would also benefit more fluent students by deepening their understanding of the Italian language and culture.
Ideally offered to Y10 and Y11 pupils, but open to Y9 as well, these courses are aimed at preparing students for Italian GCSE exams via a curriculum based on AQA, EDEXCEL or CAMBRIDGE IGCSE specifications. They also provide the opportunity to develop linguistic skills and to obtain a solid base ahead of studying A-LEVELs.
Dedicated to Y12 and Y13 students, but opened to Y11 as well, these courses provide a pleasant learning experience of the Italian language and culture through the study of literature, cinema and history of Italy and other Italophone regions.
The programme is based on EDEXCEL specification and prepares the students for higher education or work.
Locations and duration
The school year will start in September and end in June for a total of 33 weeks of lessons. We strongly recommend that students join the course at the beginning of the year, but we are happy to accommodate different needs.
Courses run in more than 40 venues in London and the South of England and are mainly held in schools, outside normal school hours. We also offer courses delivered online only, if this suits your family needs best.
You will be able to select the most suitable location and format when you start the registration process.
For courses due to run in-person – should face-to-face learning not be possible for any reason – our lessons will switch to an online format without disruption.
If you enrol your child by the 30th June 2022 fees will be as follows:
- £250 per pupil for Primary and Secondary Intermediate (Medio) courses
- £300 per pupil for GCSE and A-Level courses that cover the course for the full year.
Siblings benefit from a 15% discount.
There is also an annual registration fee of £15 per family.
Enrolments from the 1st July 2022 will incur a 10% increased charge.
We would encourage you to register your child promptly to enable us to organise groups and best support your children’s learning journey.
The fee must be paid in total at registration.
Your payment will be processed and you will receive an email with your receipt attached.
This is an annual course. By registering you child/children you agree to your child attending the course for the full year.
No refund or compensation is available for non attendance.
To ensure the start of the courses a minimum number of students must be reached.
If the course is not activated (insufficient number of students) the Managing Body will contact you and suggest another active course nearby. You can then choose to accept or reject the proposal. If you decline the proposal, you will get a full refund.
Please note that the price of books is not included in the annual fee.
