Italian for adult learners
Whether you’re new to Italian, already fluent, or somewhere in between – and whether you’re learning for certification, business, or simply a love of the language and culture – our courses offer an engaging and enriching experience for adult learners of all ages and levels.
SIAL Courses and ICI London have partnered to offer you a unique and compelling learning experience led by native, qualified Italian teachers.
Where and how you learn
- In-person classes at the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute in London, at the following address: 39 Belgrave Square, SW1X 8NX.
- Online courses via Zoom accessible from anywhere
- Classes run Monday to Saturday, with flexible daytime and evening options
Course format and fees
- 2 hours per week, over 10 weeks
All courses run once per week for 2 consecutive hours on the same day.
The only exception is the online lunchtime course (13:00–14:00), which runs for 1 hour, twice a week, on two separate days. - Courses at all levels start every term: in September, January, and April
This means you can begin at the level that suits you, including as a beginner, in any of those terms. You can then progress through the levels at your own pace throughout the year. - Fees vary depending on level: £300 for Elementary courses, £350 for Intermediate courses, £400 for Advanced courses.
Levels
We offer ten progressive levels:
- Elementary (A1.1, A1.2, A2)
- Intermediate (B1.1, B1.2, B2)
- Advanced (C1.1, C1.2, C2, C2+)
Our courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), ensuring consistent, high-quality teaching in line with language institutions across London and Europe.
What you’ll learn
All our classes are conducted in Italian and provide training in all key communication skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – with a systematic study of grammar.
All our teachers are native speakers and professionally qualified.
We can also arrange private or group tuition, for individuals or companies, tailored to specific needs. Please contact our coordination team at [email protected] to discuss your goals and find the best option for you.
