There is a wide range of CILS exams available that test a broad degree of competence in the use of the language in different social contexts.
These levels available are set following the guidelines in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: level A1, level A2, level ONE-B1, level TWO-B2, level THREE-C1, level FOUR-C2.
CILS exams (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) are held twice a year, in May/June and December

If you wish to sit a CILS exam, please follow the steps below to register and secure your place:
- Proceed with the bank transfer and pay the registration fee of £40 to secure your place.

Please also attach a proof of ID (in PDF) and proof of payment (PDF receipt from your bank’s website stating your name and payment reference).
Confirm if you have ever taken a CILS Exam – if so, please provide us with your Matricola Number.
Please note that the exam must reach a minimum number of 8 students to be activated.
Once the minimum number of students is reached you will be asked to pay the fee in full:
A1 – A2: £40.00
B1 Adolescenti: £70.00
If the minimum number of students is not reached, registration fees will be refunded in full.

Attend a 5-week Exam Preparatory Course
We highly encourage anyone wishing to sit for the exam to attend a 5-week preparatory course, regardless of their level. The course is designed to consolidate knowledge and boost exam confidence, practising and improving exam techniques.
