The conditions below set out the Terms and Conditions between you, the Student, and La Scuola Italiana a Londra – Sial.courses.
1. Aims
The aims of La Scuola Italiana a Londra – Sial.courses (the “Company”) are described on our website and in our marketing material. La Scuola Italiana a Londra – Sial.courses, a company limited by guarantee and a registered Charity (Charity No. 1119966), provides and manages Italian language and culture Courses for Adults.
These Terms and Conditions only apply to the Courses for Adults (the “Course”).
2. Definitions
The “Student/Students” means those who are enrolled onto the Courses. It is the Students’ responsibility to ensure they maintain appropriate standards of punctuality, behaviour, diligence, language and discipline.
3. Admission
3.1 Students will be considered as enrolled onto the Courses when the Registration Form has been completed online and the necessary deposit fee of £300.00 has been paid. Admission and entry will be subject to the availability of a Course and the Students satisfying the admission requirements at the time. The remaining amount will be paid according to the number of Students enrolled on the Course, as this can vary (please refer to the section 4 “Payment”).
3.2 By applying for admission to the Courses, the Students confirm that they have the right to study in the UK and agree that the Students’ tuition may be terminated at any point during its duration if a student is found not to have the right to remain in the UK or breaches the conditions of his/her stay.
4. Payment
4.1 A deposit fee of £300.00 must be paid at the time of registration. The deposit fee will be the same for every Course level.
4.2 The remaining amount will be paid according to the number of Students enrolled on the course, as this can vary, please refer to the table below:

4.3 By registering and paying the deposit fee of £300.00, you agree to attend and pay for the Course in full.
4.4 No part of your booking is confirmed until payment is received in full. If the Course is confirmed, the Company will send an invoice for the remaining amount payable. Students can pay the invoice online to confirm the registration. In the event of a Student’s failure to pay the invoice, the Company will have the right to retain the deposit fee of £300.00.
4.5 Classes are planned for a limited number of Students. For this reason, fees cannot be refunded once a Course has started. No partial refund can be granted for classes not attended and the fee cannot be transferred to a different Course. No refund or compensation will be made for non-attendance or withdrawal.
5. Extra Expenses
The price of books and entrance/board examination fees are not included in the Course fee.
6. Registration Process
The Students are required to do the following:
6.1 Register on the Courses’ website by filling in an enrolment form where he/she can choose the Course of interest (type of Course and day).
6.2 Settle the deposit fee of £300.00 in full by credit card on the Courses’ website.
6.3 Once the payment has been processed the Student will receive an e-mail with a receipt attached.
6.4 The Company will make every attempt to place the Students on the Course of their choice. However, if the Course of choice cannot be activated, the Company will contact the Student and suggest another possibility. The Student will then be able to choose to accept or reject the proposal. If the Student accepts, the Company will change the Course accordingly and will send an invoice for the total amount to be paid to confirm the registration. If the Student declines the proposal, the full payment of the deposit fee of £300.00 will be refunded.
7. Conditions
The Company does not guarantee the running of any Course unless the following conditions are satisfied:
– The Course must reach a minimum number of 3 students.
– The Company reserves the right, if considered to be necessary, to change the tutor during the Course.
8. Attendance
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly and on time. Students are not entitled to refunds if they are late, absent, or leave before the Course ends. Upon completion of the Course, the Company will provide the Students with a Certificate of Attendance upon request. Students must inform the Course Teacher if they will not be attending due to illness or holidays.
The Company cannot accept any responsibility for unforeseen changes in Students’ circumstances that may prevent attendance. No partial refund can be granted for classes not attended and the Fee cannot be transferred to a different Course.
9. Behaviour
The Company will reserve the right to suspend or terminate the booking without refund, where the Students’ acts or omissions are such that it would be unreasonable for them to continue their studies on the Course.
10. Make-up classes
In the event of a class being cancelled, the Company will offer a replacement class at the end of the Course. If this is not possible, the class will be offered on a different day, decided by the Company. In that circumstance, anyone who is unable to attend will forfeit the class. If it is not possible to offer a replacement class, the cost of the class will be refunded.
11. Confidentiality
The Company will take care to preserve the confidentiality of information concerning the Students.
The Company will collect and process information relating to the Students in accordance with the privacy notice which is available on our website.
12. Consumer Protection
Care has been taken to use plain language in these Terms and Conditions and to explain the reasons for any of the terms that may appear one-sided.
If any word, alone or in combination, infringe the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 or any other provision of law they shall be treated as severable and shall be replaced with words which give as near the original meaning as may be fair.
13. Jurisdiction
This contract is governed exclusively by English Law.
