Carnival, or Carnevale, has been celebrated for centuries throughout Italy with huge festivals marked by parades, masquerade balls, colours, mischievous pranks and tasty sweet fritters.
It is a time for children and grown ups to dress up in fancy costumes, throw confetti at each other, laugh and forget their troubles.
Find a costume or make your own, wear a character mask and get ready to celebrate with us!
