Italian Language Teachers in North and South East London

Role:

SIAL.courses (La Scuola Italiana a Londra) is seeking a qualified, motivated and inspirational experienced Italian mother tongue Primary Teacher who would be interested in working with us in one or more of the following locations in North and South East London: Muswell Hill, Bexleyheath and Canada Water.

In order to be successful in your application you must be confident and experienced in teaching Italian.

At SIAL.courses, we aim to offer everyone the possibility to learn and embrace the Italian language and culture. As part of SIAL.charity, we work to promote knowledge and support the understanding of Italian language and culture in the UK.

SIAL.courses has been offering Italian Language and Culture courses organised with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in London since 2018.

Requirements:

  • DITALS or CELTA or equivalent qualifications preferred
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • A Degree in a relevant subject
  • Must be able to teach Italian to all key stages
  • Must be able to create engaging and challenging lessons
  • Behaviour management skills
  • To have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students.
  • To have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Committed to Safeguarding children and young people. All staff will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
  • Have access to transport and be willing to travel to the schools (expenses will be refunded)
  • UK resident (all candidates will be asked to provide evidence to support their right to work in the UK)
  • To be available to start in January 2024
